Our Solution

We bring the factory to the farm.

Instead of asking farmers to collect and transport biomass to a distant facility, we bring a mobile processing unit directly to the field — keeping cost down and value close to the community that grows the crop.

The Process

From a single farm visit

One visit from our mobile unit removes the need for transport, prevents biomass from spoiling, and produces three market-ready outputs.

01

Unit arrives on-site

No collection points, no transport cost — the unit comes to the farm.

02

Pseudostem processed fresh

Biomass is processed immediately, before it can spoil or lose value.

03

Three outputs recovered

Fibre extracted and dried, sap captured, remaining material set aside.

04

Ready for market

Fibre, bio-liquid and compost move on to buyers and farms alike.

Three Outputs, One Input

What we produce

Banana Fibre

A natural, biodegradable fibre extracted and dried on-site, suitable for textiles, handicrafts and industrial applications — offering a sustainable alternative to synthetic materials.

Bio-Liquid Plant Growth Promoter

The nutrient-rich sap naturally present in the pseudostem is captured and bottled as an organic input that supports healthy plant growth — a natural alternative to chemical fertilisers.

Vermicompost

Remaining plant material is composted using earthworms into a nutrient-dense organic fertiliser that improves soil health over time.

One visit. One input. Three valuable outputs — and nothing left behind to burn or discard.
Who We Work With

A model built on partnership

BanaFibre's model is built around the people who grow the crop, the community groups who help bring it to life, and the industries that rely on sustainable raw materials.

Farmers & FPOs

We source banana pseudostem directly from farmers and Farmer Producer Organisations, ensuring biomass that would otherwise be burnt is instead put to productive use.

Self-Help Groups

Local self-help groups are trained and engaged as our on-ground processing workforce, creating dignified, community-rooted employment — particularly for rural women.

Industry & Buyers

Our fibre, organic liquid input, and compost serve textile and handicraft producers, organic input dealers, agricultural cooperatives, nurseries, and export markets.
